php code injection attack

You can execute arbitrary php commands by passing main.php specially crafted parameters. For example,

    main.php?cmd=setquality&var1=1'.phpinfo().'

will result in a "create_funtion()" call that will execute the phpinfo() command.

works on my computer by not on my new isp web site

I'm realllly frustrated. The host is "justhost.com". I set it up under a subdomain. They tell me after much time that the file security needs to be 755 and they are running appachie and run suEXEC. See their msg to me below.

Do you know what GD is? (see below)

Email msg to me:
We have GD installed on your server.
But none of PHP script will work if you set up "777" permissions for your folders because your server is running with suEXEC.
They should be "755".
This is possible the main reason of your issue.
I would recommend you to contact script's developers and ask them if that PHP software can work with suEXEC.

It works find on my xpsp2 system both modified and unmodified.

I need help here - do I need a new ISP?

Thanks

Page doesn't really load,

Hey,

I've been using phpAlbum for a long time now, but lately it seems to stop working. When I try to go to the main.php to view the album it just shows loading on firefox and then times out after a long time. After playing around a bit, when I remove the picture folder (like rename it) the page then loads fine. There's about 30 sub folders in the pictures folder, and in total 59 MB of pictures (1277 total pictures, all about 100KB or less). Any ideas why it won't load or if there's a problem I'd really appreciate it.

Creating a Cache

Hi I am new to this and I am at my wits end, I have loaded up the software and created all my directories with the correct setting etc. However when it comes to caches I am completely and utterly lost. I am in the main setup section of the deployed website, however I can not for the life of me create or determine the cache directory. Do I create a cache, if so how? Do I rename an existing cache, if so which one? Ultimately I can not progress as the main web page says "You are not allowed view this page or download this image". If someone could help me or point me in the right direction I would be eternally grateful

Thanks

Add custom fields to registration page and have results emailed to admin

I would like to add a few custom fields to the registration page, we would like to collect some more data from users, and I am having a heck of a time trying to do that. I looked at your forums and saw something about editing the install_db.php file, I did that and started editing the setup_user.inc file and the setup.php file. Am I going in the right direction?
