SymLink and Album director

Can I use a Symlink as the ablum directory? If so what permissions are needed on both the symlink and corresponding target? Any flags or configuration items needed in the script to make it work?
I'm not sure if it will work
I'm not sure if it will work with simlinks. Probably not. To get it work, I would have to accept symlinks when scanning directories.

I did get it to work. I had to add FollowSymLink as an option in the http.conf.
