Newest thumbnails not showing

Hi!
On the front page everything is looking fine - but there aren't any newest thumbnails displayed in the main area, though I uploaded eight pictures as a test in four categories.
Any idea?

Okay, solved this one too. Nothing more healthy than a solid amount of stubborn research ... ;-)
If I put a file in the main photo_... folder it will show up on the front page. Nice.
