"Scan Directories" feature not working

Hey Patrik!

I'm having a bit of trouble recently with my scan directories feature not working. I've uploaded several new photos to my album recently, but the new photos don't show up when I click the "scan directories" feature.

About two weeks ago I manually went into the album_directory.php file and changed a few "vti_cnf" folders to hidden by modifying the visibility value to false. Perhaps this affected things, or I just did something I wasn't supposed to. Should I just try to reload the album_directory.php file? If so where can I get a fresh copy?

Thanks,
Tim

In case this helps, I've uploaded a copy of my album_directory.php file to my webserver, I figure it may help to look at the file.

Sorry for the confusion. I

Sorry for the confusion. I only placed a copy of the album_directory.php file in the directory www.corvette-restoration so that people can download and view it. However, it appears that's not working as planned so I've saved and uploaded a text version of the php file to the following directory: www.corvette-restoration.com/album_directory.txt.

I don't want to give the path to the real file that's being used for the album since that would mean I'd have to reveal the names of my cache and data directories.

In any case, my photo album is in the following location: http://www.corvette-restoration.com/phpAlbum.

reload original file

What I would do is first try with deleting/renaming/download and delete of the file and do a rescan.
Or you can try with first take a backup of the data folder and then deleting all the files from the data folder but this will delete every comment or setting you have done.

I tried replacing the old

I tried replacing the old album_directory.php file with a new one, but that didn't seem to work....

Hopefully I can get this resolved. I have a lot of time into my album, plus I'm due for an update!

If you manually changed any

If you manually changed any file in data directory, you have to chmod it to 666 so PHP can write it, otherwise it is not possible to add new folder of pictures to album.

Hey Patrik, glad to have you

Hey Patrik, glad to have you back. Hopefully you had a good vacation.

I double checked my data and cache directories and they are chmod 666 but still no dice. Any other ideas? I really don't want to start from scratch since I have a lot of work into setting up the album the way I have it.

Thanks,
Tim
