Setup menu trouble

It was a while since I updated anything in my gallery and perhaps I just completely forgot how you do things, but after I log in with my admin user the only thing under the menu to the left are "My Account","Logout" adn "<<< Album".
The account I use is a superuser and I "think" this is the account I used before to configure the gallery. A superuser should have the gallery options in the menu, right? What have I missed? How can I get the options to show up again?

After a bit of research I gave Gallery2 a try, but I must say for most parts I still prefer you gallery and will probably settle to try and customize this instead. It still misses a few options I would like to have. But not many. Thanks again for a great work! DS

I would then look what is the problem. Did you upgraded phpAlbum in the past or before you have got these problems?

Well now that you mention upgrade I remember that I have upgraded once, from v12 to v13 I think it was. I cannot remember if I ever accessed the Setup page after the upgrade. I will try upgrading to the latest version and see if I can get it to work before bothering you further. Also you reminded me where the Data folder could be found. I could not find it earlier, but that was because it was renamed, as you suggest us to do.
I will take another look myself first, but thanks again for your help and offer.
I need help from anyone on getting this program in to my website
I have downloaded it to my server but I don't know the steps to actually get the album to show on my site. I had it with a different server but a tech guy had loaded it for me. help!

I also have the same problem... I created a new account, installed a new php photo album on my website and when I log in I also only see "My Account","Logout" and "<<< Album".
Is there already a sollution?
user rights
in phpAlbum the rights are set on the groups.
New accounts are automaticly added to the guest group.
This group has the minimum rights.
You have to login with an account that is member of the "superuser" group to change the group of the new user.
If you change the group to superuser you will see that the new account gets more rights.
And how do I get a superuser
And how do I get a superuser account? I already had a other account for about a year... can that also work?

With version of phpalbum are you using?
The standard superuser account in version 0.4.x is username and password "admin"
