Scan directories deletes all descriptions - long and short

I don't really know if this is a bug or the result of me making a mistake somewhere in the configuration process, but anyway:
Every time the system makes a directory scan all descriptions are deleted. Long as well as short. (It happens when the automatic scan is due and when I click the 'Scan directories now'-link.)
How can I stop this? :o) My album is on http://www.toys4africa.dk/fotoalbum/. Send me an e-mail if you need login rights please let me know in an e-mail on steenATkraemerDOTdk. Thanks a lot....

It does it every 24 hours!
If this doesn't work at some point, I'm in trouble. All texts and titles disappear every 24 hours!

Can I make an other installation?

I was wondering if it is possible to test if the problem lies with the installation of PHPAlbum? Is it okay to make a test installation in an other folder to check if the problem is universal on the server or specific to the one installation?

Yes you can do so many installations as you will ... could you send me one of the pictures where your descriptions are disappearing?
It could be some conflicts with IPTC. Do you use IPTC? Try to switch it of in Setup->MainSetup and try again if the problem is still there?

I have a similar problem!
Hi, I'm proving the new phpAlbum's version and I find a big problem.
When I click the 'Scan directories now' I cannot find my photos in the right directory, it appears in wrong folders!!!
When I click the ComboBox that contains the directories, I cannot see some directories, because it seems to be redirected.

It sounds that you have encountered the same problem I had yesterday.

A workaround seems to be to upload one folder at a time and click the "scan directories now" and repeat this for every folder. If you have subfolders they have to be uploaded seperately as well. I hope this helps.
PS You will probably have to remove all the the folders first and do a scan to clean out the incorrect directories first DS
