hi,
when I try to login to ftp at the phpalbum site
/joe.vigsel.info/public_html/foto
I got the errormessage
Unable to change to directory /joe.vigsel.info/public_html/foto on ftp server
even if I use the full photo directory path
/home/FA04-23-07-30_avgk632dhndc884vwjv3/joe.vigsel.info/public_html/foto
I get the same errormessage.
my photo directory is writeable
what could be wrong.

You can find a file in your
You can find a file in your data and cache directories which is named like "writablity_test" and has 0 bytes.... delete it and you will be able to access the site again

I have the same problem : my login / pw are correct (not rejected), the directory exists and is writable, but I can't access it ("Unable to change to directory ...")

Unable to connect to ftp server
Hello,
I have this problem as above "Unable to connect to the ftp server", I have read the recent post but theres no solution to this problem, yet? please advise.
I noticed it is sensitive to "/" on the ftp server input, and pathway to the photo directory. I have tried several combinations of this and still I am unable to connect to my ftp server with both correct user id and password.
Not putting "/" at the end of the ftp sever strings result to the warning message as it cannot change to the directory.
I have also checked the CHMOD to 777, default 654, but web host says 777 is unsafe and will change it back for me when I wanted to.
Please advise, what could be the missing symbol in the setup.

I myself don't use the ftp-option of phpAlbum, but have you tried your login and password (provided by your provider)you have to use when you try your site by ftp-program?
