let certain group view a certain gallery problem

Hi All,

I just installed the phpalbum via the webinstaller on my host and everything seems to be working fine. however, I am encounter the following issue.
I did create several galleries and for each gallery, I specified the group of users to view that gallery.
unfortunately, it doesnt seem to work. A gallery, which is marked as FAMILY and should only be viewed by family members, is also accessible in public. nothing seems to be hidden.
I only thing I noted also is, that I have not unchecked the VISIBLE box from the gallery tab...but I did check the FAMILY box.

so my question is only how to grant certain album for particular usergroup only.
