Folder with photos

I have two Synology DS-509+/109+ and here allready is a folder /volume1/Photo with all my photos, but the phpAlbum won't read from here. Can you tell me the reason for that? The folder is web-readable and in fact is used from other album-programs ! The server has /volume1/music and /volume1/video and most programs (but not all) can read from these folders.
