Error report creating a new gallery

Hi all,
Creating a new gallery used to be working fine. But this is what I get now whenever I try to create a new gallery:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ']' in
/public_html/phpAlbum/phpdatabase.php(557) : runtime-created function on
line 1

Fatal error: Function name must be a string in
/public_html/phpAlbum/phpdatabase.php on line 680

Can't recall I've changed any settings. Does somebody have a clue? Any help is welcome...
