Install error

Description

I tried to install with the auto installer and this is what the site looks like www.addipics.com

I tried installing into the public_ftp file. the error I got was the upgrade couldn't be installed. Then I tried again and the error I got was directory couldn't be install. Can anyone help me?

I am encountering one of your issues too: I also tried the webinstaller, but after accessing FTP and letting me chose the desired directory, it say "Unable to create directory". It creates "phpAlbum" with "lang" and "res", though... I tried with the default folder as well as an existing one - no difference.

Before trying the web installer, I manually loaded up phpAlbum, renamed the folder, created and chmodded the data and cache folders and when I try to access www.texthexe.de/privat/phpAlbum I get the following message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '/' in /mnt/web8/43/47/51180647/htdocs/privat/phpAlbum/main.php on line 2049

Could both issues be related?
