Parsing error

Hi,
Sorry, but I'm not able to read php code (and therefore don't know what exactly my problem is)
Using the webinstaller all went fine and the test photos displayed, but going into setup trying to insert user data and pressing save configuration, I get the following error messages:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ';' in /web/htdocs/www.icaro-srl.eu/home/PhpAlbum/phpdatabase.php(526) : runtime-created function on line 1

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: () in /web/htdocs/www.icaro-srl.eu/home/PhpAlbum/phpdatabase.php on line 679

The web address is:
http://www.icaro-srl.eu/PhpAlbum/main.php?cmd=setup

I have uploaded my photos using ftp and replacing the test photos, but they don't display, how do I refresh?

Thanks for any help

parsing error

Line 679 is a return true for one of the groups or something. I received the same error at one point, but I was able to fiddle and get it to go away. Mine occurred while changing the password on the admin login. I didn't do anything specific. I suggest seeing if you can log out and back in or similar. Go away and come back to the setup; that's what I did something such as that.

Your photos is a cache thing. I don't know how to clear the cache expect by trying to edit a feature, which will return a new value within the code. However, for the photos, I am sure I saw a radio button for that. I'll go look...

Ah, "scan new directories" will refresh your photos. Otherwise, it will on default day, which is 48 hours.

Go to galleries and click that "scan new directories." You should be good to go now.

parsing error - problem solved

Thanks, in fact this error only comes up when you do something that you're not supposed to do anyway ;-)

I also experienced the problem with the cache when I was uploading different header images with the same name, where the new one wouldn't display. In fact it was enough to change the name of the image file to get phpalbum to display it.

My friends who own the site are very happy with the solution given by phpAlbum - and particularly the fact that they can edit the comments to the photos (the only section that I've given them edit access to).

Thank you for your support and your user friendly program (I mean, if I can get it to work, then everybody can..)
