Blank page after successful web install

Hi,

after installing phpAlbum successfully via webinstall on http://www.escalade.nl/blanes/fotos , i just keep getting a blank screen when trying to reach the rest of the settings.

the system is a remote host running:

Apache Version Apache/1.3.27

PHP Version 4.1.2

GD Support enabled
GD Version 1.6.2 or higher

Can't find info on the mbstring support.
Could this configuration be the cause of the malfunctioning of the installation?
