Description

(1) clicking setup when viewing a picture -> edit picture details
Sometimes I am looking at my pictures and I want to change the short or long name string associated with the picture. As phpAlbum remembers that I am logged in, there is a setup button in the corner of the page. It would be nice if that took me to the edit page for the picture. (Actually it is an edit page for all the pictures in the directory, but that is not my issue.) Instead, I have to navigate the menus and refind the picture I was viewing, possibly by decending a directory structure, just to refind the picture I already had when I clicked setup.
This is frustrating.

(2) Version #
This form asks me what version of phpAlbum I have. Maybe you should put the version number at the bottom of the pages. If it doesn't look good, just do it to logged in superusers or on maintainance pages.

(3) Scan Directories Now
THis is an essential task for new users to get things running well, but it isn't clear where to click - you have to go to PICTURES first and it's hidden away a bit in the middle of the page. Should that be something available from the navigation bar on the left?

(4) Thumbnail bug?
I had a directory of 320x240 images all downloaded from the same site. Webcam girls, so I'm pretty sure all the picture dimensions would have been identical. Yet some thumbnails displayed as bigger than others!

(5) Your English is understandable; indeed good. But nevertheless it is a bit quirky at times. You have probably achieved lots here at great personal effort and I don't mean to be harsh. But it is an area that can be improved if you ever have the resources and want the product to look more professional when implemented in English.

Maybe I should help there if I want you to do some changes described above, LOL :)

Symbolic links (shortcuts)
It would be nice if a symbolic link to a picture file just displayed as the picture file.
I have a directory with a large number of pictures that have been download. Links to these pictures display them in a bulletin board forum so I cannot move the files around to organise them.
I had hoped that phpAlbum would allow me to do that.
Then I hoped that symblic links would let me do it.
I guess I could copy the files and double the disk space they require.
