Updating the gallery

hi

Is there a way of updating the gallery when a user uploads new pictures rather than having to do it manually or waiting until the next update which could be as far as 12 hours away ?

I would like the people who upload photos to be able to see them straight away as they wont have access to the refresh the gallery.
